The 2008 Red Ball gala will be held at the Westin Kierland Resort and Spa in Scottsdale, Ariz. on May 10. Guests will enjoy a cocktail hour, live entertainment, silent and live auctions, and dinner and dancing to the Diane Lindsey Band.

This year, Dr. Dudley Halpe will be the recipient of The Sage Foundations for Health Humanitarian Award. Established in 2004, to honor the memory of community philanthropist Victoria Lund, the Red Ball is presented by the Sage Foundation for Health, a foundation established by the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM), as a fundraiser benefiting the 10 sites where Sage provides healthcare to underserved communities.    

Funds raised by The Red Ball support The Sage Foundation for Health, a non-profit organization devoted to providing quality natural healthcare to the medically underserved adults and children in the Phoenix metro area. Currently, the Sage Foundation supports 10 extended sites where the disadvantaged can go to receive care from Naturopathic doctors (NDs) and Naturopathic medical students from SCNM. Without the funds generated by the Red Ball these sites might not exist.
